Public Broadcast Stations to Air “Women in America” Series Hosted by Linda McMahon and Burt Wolf

STAMFORD, Conn. – -Journalist Burt Wolf and Linda McMahon, co-founder and former CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment and co-founder and CEO of Women’s Leadership LIVE, will co-host a five-part series about the history of women in America, which will be presented on Public Broadcasting Stations throughout the United States.

The series, titled “Women in America,” explores women and work, women and education, women and entrepreneurship, African-American women, and a look at how women from Latin America, India, China, Korea, Japan and other nations have influenced the educational and economic structure of the United States. The series consists of five half-hour programs about women’s challenges and achievements in the workplace, entrepreneurism, education, African-American achievements, and contributions from women from Latin America, Asia, India and other countries.

This series on women will appear on more than 290 public broadcasting stations throughout the United States, including the top 25 markets. Check local listings for times and dates.

Linda McMahon, co-founder and former CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), is the co-founder and CEO of Women’s Leadership LIVE, a company aimed at promoting leadership opportunities for women. Its goal is to educate women on how best to launch and grow a business, advance their careers toward leadership roles, and identify and pursue leadership opportunities in public service. It hosts live events that connect women to influential business leaders who share their skills and strategies for success.

Burt Wolf has produced more than 4,000 segments for CNN (Cable News Network), 800 segments for ABC (the American Broadcasting Company), 125 half-hour programs for the travel division of The Discovery Channel, and 350 half-hour programs for public broadcasting in the United States. His programs are broadcast on public television to 90% of the television homes in the United States, then translated into Russian, Polish, Ukrainian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Mandarin and Korean and syndicated to an international audience of over 100 million.

Mr. Wolf has also written or edited 67 books for publishing companies including Random House, Knopf, Doubleday, Simon & Schuster and McGraw Hill.
