Liv Morgan And Roxanne Perez Both In Concussion Protocol After WWE Raw

Both Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez are being evaluated for possible concussions following a collision on Monday’s WWE Raw, with Bryan Alvarez reporting that the incident has raised immediate concern about WrestleMania 42.

The situation arose when Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer made a surprise appearance on Raw and attacked Morgan from behind during a backstage segment. The force of the attack pushed Morgan into Perez, with the two clonking heads hard as they fell to the floor. Morgan was subsequently grabbed and thrown into a nearby television set.

Alvarez shared the update on social media shortly after the incident. “Both Liv and Roxanne in concussion protocol after they clonked skulls hard when Stephanie jumped Liv from behind,” Alvarez wrote. “Hopefully we didn’t just witness a disaster affecting WrestleMania.”

The timing is particularly unfortunate for Perez, who had only recently returned to WWE television last week following surgery to remove a benign growth. Her return saw her help Morgan attack Vaquer, which set up Monday’s retaliatory attack. A concussion so close to WrestleMania would represent a setback for a performer who had barely returned to action.

For Morgan, the stakes are even higher in the immediate term. She won the Royal Rumble earlier this year and selected Vaquer as her WrestleMania 42 challenger, with the Women’s World Championship match now just over a week away. A concussion diagnosis could put her ability to compete in serious doubt.

The backstage segment had begun with Morgan and Perez discussing Perez’s return, with Morgan noting that former stablemate Finn Balor had originally brought Perez into the Judgment Day. WWE has not issued any official statement on the health status of either performer. WrestleMania 42 takes place April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
