Liv Morgan will be taking time away from WWE television for the foreseeable future to film a significant movie. In a backstage segment with acting Raw General Manager Nick Aldis this week on Raw, Morgan requested and was granted time off for this project.
PWInsider.com reported on Monday that something big involving Morgan was expected to be revealed this week. Their latest report confirms that the film project is legitimate and will be officially unveiled next week, with Morgan slated for a major role. The length of her absence from WWE TV remains unclear at this time.
This news follows a whirlwind few weeks for Morgan in the Women’s Tag Team Championship picture. At WrestleMania 41, she and Raquel Rodriguez lost the titles to Lyra Valkyria and the returning Becky Lynch on the event’s second night.
On last week’s Raw, Morgan and Rodriguez regained the championship from Lynch and Valkyria, with Morgan pinning Valkyria to secure the victory. Immediately after the title change, Lynch executed a shocking heel turn, attacking her partner, Valkyria.
