It looks like the locations are locked in for the 2020 Survivor Series and 2021 Royal Rumble…or they are very close to being locked in.
The WrestleVotes insider account is reporting that the front runner to host the 2020 Survivor Series pay-per-view is Dallas, Texas. It is also being reported that Seattle, Washington is the frontrunner to host the 2021 Royal Rumble. These locations may already be locked in and if that is the case, then we should get an official announcement from WWE in the next few weeks.
There is no word on what arenas WWE would want for those shows but the American Airlines Center has hosted WWE pay-per-views in the past so that arena would be the most likely location. WWE wants to run more stadium shows for Royal Rumble events so CenturyLink Field and T-Mobile Park would seem like possibilities. Minute Maid Park, the home of the Houston Astros, will host the 2020 Royal Rumble next month.
WWE has been pushing to turn their “big 4” events into destinations weekends for fans who travel, which would mean that Raw, SmackDown, and possibly NXT TakeOver shows will be scheduled in the same cities as those events.
