It appears WWE has started to close in on the locations for two upcoming pay-per-view events – Money in the Bank and SummerSlam.
The next pay-per-view for WWE is their Hell in a Cell event on June 20th that is taking place inside the ThunderDome. Originally, MITB was supposed to be on this date with Extreme Rules following one month later.
WWE decided to change the schedule around with HIAC taking place next month and Money in the Bank taking place on July 18th. Extreme Rules is expected to take place later this year.
Sports Illustrated reported today that Money in the Bank is slated to take place somewhere in Texas while SummerSlam is taking place in Nevada. The exact venues of these events are still unknown.
WWE had been considering Madison Square Garden, Texas, and Phoenix as possible locations for SummerSlam. Starting on July 16th for an episode of SmackDown, WWE will hold shows on the road with fans in attendance going forward.
WWE held WrestleMania 37 in front of fans for the first time over a year last month at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. They just held the WrestleMania Backlash PPV event this month, but that was inside the ThunderDome.
