It’s looking like the Cris Cyborg vs. Becky Lynch match at SummerSlam will happen. As we noted last week, sources close to Cyborg’s camp told us that the match was confirmed. WWE has not commented on the story but we were told by another source that it’s happening.
The back-and-forth on Twitter continued after Cyborg defeated Tonya Evinger to win the UFC Featherweight title at Saturday night’s UFC 214 pay-per-view. This deal is likely happening with UFC’s blessing and could be a favor being returned by Dana White because WWE allowed Brock Lesnar to fight for them last July at UFC 200.

Last year, WWE had reached out to Paige VanZant’s management for a match at SummerSlam but talks fell through. They’ve also had talks with Ronda Rousey for a match at WrestleMania last year but they could not work out a deal because of Rousey’s schedule.
