Lots of WWE shows scheduled for the holidays around Christmas and New Years

Dave Meltzer noted in the lastest Wrestling Observer newsletter that a lot of questions came up when WWE release their holiday TV schedule to some in the company. Here’s how things look:

12/21 Smackdown – taped the day before Raw in Sioux City, Iowa but will air on Friday.
12/22 Raw – live from Minneapolis.
12/29 Raw – that is scheduled to be their Slammy Award themed show from Washington, DC.

There is also a house show on 12/29 on the same night as Raw in Richmond, VA. It’s not far away from where they are doing Raw so they could have talent working the beginning of the show in Richmond and then have them show up by the end of Raw in DC but it looks like there will be some main talent not at that 12/29 Raw since they need some top names at the house show to main event.

12/30 Smackdown – TV taping in Norfolk, VA.
12/30 House show – Los Angeles, CA at the Staples Center

The plan for the 12/30 house show is for the “A” crew to be there so that greatly affects Smackdown. There are reports that WWE will be announcing a major pay-per-view show that week. It’s not going to be SummerSlam since SummerSlam will be in the New York area next year.
