Professional wrestlers may be living their dream out in the ring, but for those from countries outside the United States, things can be a bit difficult legally. Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Mae Young Classic competitor, Nicole Mathews, has been banned from entering the United States for five years.
The ordeal was described as similar to that of Mike Bailey. He was banned from the country for working in the United States on a travel visa instead of a work visa. That’s obviously illegal, however, it’s not uncommon for indy professional wrestlers. Mathews is a Canadian resident. She took to Twitter to comment on the matter. Here’s what she had to say:
“Timing, eh? I’ll be fine, everyone. That’s all I’m going to say about the elephant in the room.”
I’ll be fine, everyone. That’s all I’m going to say about the elephant in the room.
