Mae Young Classic competitor would’ve ended wresting career if WWE didn’t sign her

Mia Yim worked hard to earn her way into the WWE. Stints with promotions such as Shimmer, SHINE, and IMPACT Wrestling put Yim on the map. She was able to defeat Gail Kim for the IMPACT Knockouts Title in 2016. Kim later got on WWE’s radar by getting a few tryouts with the company and even made an appearance on WWE TV as one of Adam Rose’s Rosebuds.

After back-to-back appearances in the 2017 and 2018 Mae Young Classic Tournament, Yim finally earned a contract with WWE. She recently took to Twitter to reflect on her journey to the company. Yim revealed that she was planning on hanging up her professional wrestling boots if she hadn’t made it to WWE by age 30.

Now, at 29-years-old, Yim’s WWE career is just getting started:

“I told myself that if I don’t make it in wwe by age 30 (2019), I’ll wrap up my wrestling career. 2018 will be a year I’ll never forget. Thank you , let’s get to work.
