Mae Young Classic standout not signed to WWE due to injuries
There were quite a few fantastic females that WWE would love to sign out of the Mae Young Classic but things can’t work out with everyone. There are also a few more wonderful women wrestlers who haven’t received an official offer from WWE just yet but there’s always time
However, Jazzy Gabert revealed when she spoke to E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness that she was offered a WWE contract after the Mae Young Classic but her situation was sadly one that didn’t work out. Jazzy was super over during her time in the tournament and chants of “please sign Jazzy” rang out in Full Sail Arena during her time in the ring. But sadly it wasn’t meant to be due to WWE’s strict physical testing before an actual contract can be offered.
Jazzy told Edge and Christian that she was offered a WWE contract after the Mae Young Classic, but Dr. Maroon found an issue with her neck where she had three herniated discs. Since she was already injured, WWE couldn’t offer her a contract.
If you’re keeping track of who WWE tried to sign so far but things didn’t work out in one way or another, the numbers seem to be growing.
So WWE signed
Io Shirai
Gisele Shaw
Jazzy Gabert
Lacey Lane
Isabel Lahela
All within a year and they all either backed out or got their contracts nixed cause they couldn’t pass medicals. Crazy!— casey michael (@badboicasey) December 29, 2017
