Main event announced for next month’s WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view

The Royal Rumble is just a couple of weeks away but WWE has already begun the hype for next month’s Smackdown-branded Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. On this week’s episode of WWE Smackdown Live, Shane McMahon announced that 6 WWE Superstars will compete in the Elimination Chamber for the WWE Championship.

Styles came out to protest McMahon’s announcement before he was interrupted by John Cena and the Miz came out about a minute later. McMahon did not say who would be competing for the WWE Championship at the Elimination Chamber PPV but they did a backstage segment with Dean Ambrose talking with McMahon and Ambrose said that he wanted to be in the Chamber match.

The Elimination Chamber pay-per-view will take place on Sunday, February 12th on the WWE Network and it’s the last Smackdown-branded PPV before WrestleMania. The show will emanate from the Talking Stick Resort in Phoenix, AZ. Tickets are still available through Ticketmaster.com.
