Major Plans For WWE Survivor Series: WarGames Revealed

The initial plans for this year’s Survivor Series WarGames have reportedly been revealed, and they include two elimination matches. According to a new report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the current creative direction for the November 29 premium live event in San Diego will see the continuation of the rivalries between The Bloodline and The Vision, as well as a clash between the top stars of the women’s division.

The men’s WarGames match is reportedly set to pit a reunited Bloodline against The Vision. The babyface team is listed as CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu, and Jey Uso, with a fifth mystery partner to be determined. Meltzer notes that Jimmy Uso and LA Knight are the two leading candidates for that final spot.

They will reportedly face the heel team of Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Brock Lesnar, and the surprisingly included Austin Theory. The inclusion of Lesnar, who has a history with both Reigns and Punk, and the return of the injured Austin Theory are two of the most notable and shocking elements of the planned match.

The women’s WarGames match is equally stacked with top-tier talent. The babyface team is slated to be the all-star lineup of AJ Lee, Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Iyo Sky. They will reportedly face the heel team of Becky Lynch, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax, and the NXT standout, Lash Legend.

It also notes that John Cena is scheduled to challenge for the Intercontinental Championship from Dominik Mysterio at the event, which would be his second to last match before his retirement in December.
