WWE is expected to load up the first Raw on Netflix on January 6 and a former champion is expected back by then.
Sources within WWE have told PWInsider that former WWE Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is expected back in time for the Raw premiere on Netflix. This would mean that both WWE and Lynch are close to (or have confirmed) a new agreement. Lynch has been off TV for months after her WWE deal expired.
For what it’s worth, Lynch’s first public appearance since her WWE exit is set for this weekend in Los Angeles where she will talk about her memoir. The promotional material for appearance states:
“WWE Superstar, trailblazer, and New York Times best-selling author Rebecca Quin will join us for a conversation about her recent memoir Becky Lynch: The Man: Not Your Average Average Girl. We’ll look back on her legendary career — from her early days grinding on the road to being in the first ever women’s match to main event WrestleMania — and just maybe get a glimpse at what The Man has in store for us next.”
So, if you are reading between the lines, her return could be announced as soon as this weekend. Expect lots of big names on the Raw premiere on Netflix with some big-time matches as well.
