Malakai Black Is Expected To Make WWE Return Imminently

Malakai Black, known as Aleister Black in WWE, wrestled for WWE’s NXT from 2017 to 2021. While with WWE, he was NXT Champion and a Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic winner.

After moving to WWE’s main roster, he was released in 2021. From 2021 to 2025, he performed in All Elite Wrestling as Malakai Black. He has since been granted his AEW release.

As previously noted, Black shared a fan-made highlights video on his Instagram stories, leading to fan speculation about a potential WWE return, despite Black not explicitly referencing the company or his plans. You can check that out here.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that “Aleister Black should be returning imminently.” No further details were given.
