WWE fans are convinced that Malakai Black is headed back to WWE amid reports of interest from the company and a recent video he shared on social media.
Earlier this month, Black, Miro, and Ricky Starks departed from AEW, with all three either already in WWE or on their way back to the company. Since then, Starks has shown up in NXT, while Dave Meltzer reported that those in WWE said creative had been talking about Black and Miro.
Fans have also speculated that Black may join The Judgment Day when he returns. On TV, there have been hints that would lead them to think that. On the January 20th episode of Raw, Chad Gable asked Dominik Mysterio for advice about handling his issues with luchador stars Penta El Zero Miedo, Dragon Lee, and Rey Mysterio. Mysterio gave him a paper with a name on it, but we couldn’t see whose name it was.
Black shared a fan-made highlights video on his Instagram stories. He never referenced the company or indicated his future plans. Regardless, fans took this as him hinting at a return to the company.
