WWE Superstar Mandy Rose was recently interviewed by Joseph Staszewski of the NY Post where she spoke about a wide range of pro wrestling related topics. This includes WWE presenting more intergender matches.
It all started at the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event once Nia Jax stole R-Truth’s #30 spot in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match. This led to Dolph Ziggler hitting a superkick to the Raw star followed up by Rey Mysterio with a drop kick and the 619 and Randy Orton connecting with an RKO.
In the eyes of Rose, she thinks that now is a great time for these types of matches to take place.
“I think it’s a great time for it. Women are breaking down those barriers and they’re becoming, you know, they’re main-eventing and it’s just been an amazing time for women in general in sports. I feel like, yeah, why not do inter-gender matches? It brings entertainment. It brings a lot of different viewers and demographics and all that, so why not do it?”
