This is a change from what the WWE originally decided in 2016 when they brought back the brand extension. For a time, both brands had separate PPV events outside of the big four pay-per-views.
With the women’s division, WWE has been starting doing a crossover with Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch appearing on Raw despite them being members of the blue branded show.
While doing a recent interview with Planeta Wrestling, Rose, who is slated to challenge Asuka for the SmackDown Women’s Title at Sunday’s (March 10th, 2019) WWE Fastlane pay-per-view event from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio on the WWE Network, expressed her desire to see more of this trend.
“I think it’s great. Why not mesh the brands more? I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. The meshing of the brands is great. I think it brings excitement. It brings anticipation of not knowing who’s going to be on Raw or SmackDown. I think it’s really awesome. In general, the women are just killing it.”
