Earlier tonight, WWE announced that Asuka will get a rematch against Raw Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania Backlash but it looks like a change is being made to that match.
During an in-ring segment with Sonya Deville, Charlotte Flair said that she should be added to the match because she is an influencer and she would make the match more important because she is the most famous person in the women’s division.
Deville said that since the men have a Triple Threat Match at Backlash, then the women should have one too so it’s now officially Ripley vs. Asuka vs. Flair at WrestleMania Backlash. This led to Ripley and Asuka coming out to protest the decision made by Deville and that led to an attack from Flair.
UPDATE: A previous version of this article mentioned Mandy Rose, instead of Sonya Deville. That has been corrected. Apologies. This is what happens when you get very little sleep!
