Mandy Rose spoke with TMZ for a new interview where she discussed her post-WWE life after she was released due to the adult content she posted on her FanTime page as the company became uncomfortable with it last December.
The decision was made for Rose to drop the NXT Women’s Title against Roxanne Perez, on the post-Deadline episode of NXT TV. Earlier this month, she teased making a wrestling return. Here are the highlights:
Life after WWE:
“Well, it’s been amazing. Honestly, the response has been so great. I love having this direct relationship with my fans where we can chat all day. They can see all the behind-the-scenes action of my day to day photoshoots and spicy content. So it’s been amazing, and honestly, it’s just been a blessing. I have so many things going on. My skincare line has taken off Amorose, so that’s been awesome as well. So I’m also in New York helping my family business, where we’re relocating the Italian deli we’ve had for over 30 years. So I’ve been helping them out, so I’ve been keeping really busy since WWE, I must say. Yeah, financially, I’ve been doing really well. Personally and mentally, I’ve been doing amazing. I have so much more time to spend with my family and get involved with more things I never thought I would. It’s been awesome. I always tell people, ‘WWE is an amazing platform, and I am forever grateful, but it’s not the end all be all, and there are amazing opportunities afterward.’ After seeing stuff today [WWE talent releases], I always tell everyone, ‘There are so many opportunities out there.’ I feel for people who did get released because that’s not the phone call you want at the end of the day. I have a lot of connections, and I always tell them, ‘You can call me. I have all the hookups. If you want to go my route, it’s been amazing.’ I can’t complain.”
Being in control of your future:
“Yeah, exactly. And it goes across the board with anything these days, right? You could have a job, and then tomorrow, God forbid, you could be without a job. So I feel like it’s always good to be in control of your future, who you surround yourself around, and just kind of own that and be able to monetize off of that as well because you just never know at the end of the day. Right.”
Whether she’s open to returning to wrestling:
“Listen, I do miss performing, I miss the camaraderie, I miss that adrenaline rush, for sure. I can’t sit here and say I don’t miss it. However, I am keeping myself super busy not to have to think about it as much. I don’t know about the future. I am a free agent now. I mentioned on social media that it got everywhere. If the right call comes around and I feel like making an appearance and coming back to any wrestling federation out there, I’m not saying it’s a ‘No,’ but right now, I’m pretty busy. It has to be the right call.”
