Mandy Rose continues to speak out regarding her WWE release in December.
Although WWE originally planned to have Rose defend her NXT Women’s Title against Roxanne Perez at New Year’s Evil, their bout was moved up, and Rose dropped the championship following the Deadline Premium Live Event. She was released the following day because of the adult content she was posting on her FanTime page.
Rose gave her first public comments about her WWE departure on the Tamron Hall Show.
While speaking with New York Post, Rose questioned why she could not run her FanTime page and continue to wrestle in WWE.
“I am grateful and very humbled with everything I’ve done and made at the company [WWE], but in today’s day and age, there are so many other avenues and so many other marketing opportunities. It’s like, why can’t I do both? At the end of the day, I’m the only one watching out for myself and my career. Everyone’s replaceable in our business – it’s true.”
Rose also commented on the photo of herself by the pool and being covered by the NXT and NXT UK Women’s Championships. WWE reposted that image. This is something she questioned.
“What’s the definition of racy? The photo of me with two titles – I was completely naked underneath, that’s considered a racy photo, right?”
Rose also confirmed in the interview that she did earn $1 million from her FanTime page after departing from WWE.
