Many WWE Employees Expecting to Be Fired Within a Few Weeks

As has been previously reported, the Endeavor takeover of WWE is expected to happen sometime next month after the final paperwork is signed that would put WWE and UFC under the same corporate umbrella.

Today, PWInsider reported that there is a sense of “gloom and doom” within the company offices with many employees feeling that if you are not part of the production or involved with the WWE talent, then you are not safe as the company looks to cut back departments that are not needed because of the merger.

Since Endeavor already has departments that would handle something like travel, for example, you can expect many to be let go in the coming weeks and employees in WWE know this because some of them have already been looking for their next job. It still remains to be seen exactly how many people are let go but it’s already been made clear by Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel that cuts are coming to avoid redundancy.

PWI adds that the expected firings have been a big topic of conversation among those working at WWE’s company headquarters in Stamford, CT. At this point, we don’t know if the cuts will extend to the talent or anyone who regularly goes on the road.
