Maria Kanellis Open To WWE Return, Has Specific Dream In Mind

Former AEW and WWE star Maria Kanellis recently hinted that she might be open to making another comeback to WWE. Kanellis previously worked for WWE in two different periods, from 2004 to 2010 and then again from 2017 to 2020.

She also shared a specific dream she hopes to achieve at WrestleMania if such a return happened. During a virtual signing event for Signed By Superstars, Kanellis praised WWE’s current direction and the professionalism within the company.

“Never say never. I still chat with people over there,” she stated. “I think that they’ve done an amazing job in the last few years of really, just, making it a more professional show from backstage to what you see and the product is live. A lot of my friends that are over there talk about how well it’s run and so, you know, never say never.”

Her biggest unfulfilled WWE goal involves her husband, Mike Bennett, and his long-time tag team partner Matt Taven, known collectively as The Kingdom.

“My dream is to manage The Kingdom at a WrestleMania. That’s the only thing that I feel like I just — I didn’t get to do,” Maria explained. “Or to manage my husband at WrestleMania and experience that together. I’ve had WrestleMania matches and he’s been in a WrestleMania match but we’ve never done it together and I feel like that would be really cool.”
