Mark Henry: “Bad Bunny Is The Best Celebrity Wrestler Of All Time”

During a recent appearance on TMZ Inside The Ring, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry bestowed the ultimate praise on music superstar Bad Bunny, declaring him the “best celebrity wrestler of all time.” Henry explained that it is Bad Bunny’s genuine passion and unparalleled commitment to the sport that sets him apart from all other celebrity participants.

Henry pointed to the musician’s deep love for the business as the primary reason for his success. “Bad Bunny is the best celebrity wrestler of all time,” Henry stated. “Because he loves it. He loves it more than his ability to be a great singer. He wishes that he could have grown up and been a pro wrestler in his life, but God blessed him with an exorbitant amount of talent to be who he became. And I’m like, ‘Hey, man, do that. We over here still appreciate you, but go do that.’”

The “World’s Strongest Man” then revealed a story that illustrated Bad Bunny’s dedication, detailing the grueling schedule the artist maintained while preparing for his match against Damian Priest at Backlash in Puerto Rico. “I respected that dude so much because when he had that match with Damian Priest, he was on tour. He had like 30 dates in different places,” Henry said. “He was performing, he would get on a private plane, fly from wherever he was in America, go to Orlando, wake up and practice two or three days, and then go back and fly out after wrestling for two or three days in Orlando and do his shows.”

For Henry, that willingness to go to such extraordinary lengths for the sake of a wrestling match is the ultimate sign of respect for the industry. “That’s crazy. That is commitment,” he concluded. “And that’s how you know that means you love it like I love it.”

Bad Bunny’s San Juan Street Fight against Damian Priest at Backlash in May 2023 was met with universal praise from fans and wrestlers, with many calling it one of the best matches of the year. The Grammy-winning artist is currently preparing for a new world tour in 2026.
