WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry thinks the story that will be told at Survivor Series between WWE Universal Champion Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan will see a different crowd reaction compared to Wyatt’s recent matches with Seth Rollins.
Wyatt, who has been portrayed as a heel, had been cheered on Raw and at pay-per-view events – Hell in a Cell and Crown Jewel – when he wrestled Rollins for the title. However, Henry stated his take about why Bryan can be the guy to turn the crowd against Wyatt.
Henry spoke on a recent episode of Busted Open Radio where he talked about how Bryan has enough respect from the fans that he’ll be able to get fans to boo Wyatt. Part of the reason for that is due to Bryan being such a good storyteller.
“Daniel Bryan can tell a story in that match and make Bray Wyatt a monster rather than somebody that everybody is loving and respecting because he’s got enough history with the wrestling fans that they respect him.”
Henry continued by noting that Bryan is going to make the fans love him again by teasing the Yes! chants in the early part of the match then do it later on Henry thinks this match will have a lot of bells and whistles before getting the crowd to turn.
Henry ended by stating, “By the middle of that match the crowd will be booing Bray Wyatt. I can promise you.”
WWE holds the Survivor Series pay-per-view event on Sunday, November 24, 2019 in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena and will air on the WWE Network.
