Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley have been embroiled in a rivalry on Monday Night RAW for the past several weeks. It will all come to a head at Extreme Rules this weekend when they go one-on-one inside the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. On the go-home episode of RAW on Monday, Reigns and Lashley got into a huge brawl that required the entire locker room to hit the ring and separate them.
Mark Henry recently spoke about the brawl on Busted Open Radio. The WWE Hall Of Famer said he believes the brawl helped both Reigns and Lashley. The way Lashley has been presented in his feud with Reigns has been a lot more intimidating than the way he was presented against Sami Zayn.
Henry said Lashley and Reigns can do something that hasn’t been able to be done in a long time, and that’s take over the show without any of the bells and whistles:
“The fans are getting a chance to see two big physically impressive tough guys go at it,” said Henry. “That’s how I feel about Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns. I feel like, ‘oh sh*t, let’s go! Put ’em in there, let ’em go!’ Like they are ready to do something that hasn’t been done in a long while. And that thing is to take over the show without bells and whistles.”
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion also likes the fact that the match between Lashley and Reigns isn’t a gimmick match:
“A lot of times you’re like, oh, it’s a cage match, it’s a falls count anywhere. It’s pot pans and chairs and ladders. It’s nothing [in this feud],” said Henry. “They don’t need anything. It’s two big strong physically impressive guys that need to get in there and punch each other in the face. Everybody is ready to see it.”
