For years, WWE fans have wondered why the company books Brock Lesnar as Universal Champion despite the fact that he’s a part-time star. Since making his return in 2012, Lesnar wrestles only a handful of matches and makes few appearances each year.
WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry explained he thinks it is best that Lesnar isn’t around the WWE all the time and remains on a limited schedule. He elaborated on his belief while attending a meet-and-greet at a recent Binghamton Devils of the AHL game. This is where he spoke with Wrestling Inc.
“Neither was Andre. Andre wasn’t around,” said Henry who compared Lesnar’s limited schedule to Andre the Giant’s back in the day. “Brock is an attraction. You have somebody that garners a special level of attention and you need to let those people be those people.”
“Brock is a bit of a butt hole too,” stated Henry. “You don’t want him around all the time. He’s subject to hit somebody or cuss a little kid out. You need to keep him away from people. He’s a monster and I would rather the monster only be seen when he’s gonna fight for the title.”
