Mark Henry: Maybe You Will ‘See Cody Rhodes Vs. Oba Femi For The WWE Title’ One Day

WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry has high praise for NXT Champion Oba Femi following his performance at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Henry, who was ringside for the event, witnessed Femi go toe-to-toe with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in a non-title exhibition match. The bout, which opened the show, ended in a no-contest due to interference from Drew McIntyre, but not before Femi showcased his dominance against the top star in the company.

In a tweet, Henry shared his thoughts on the match and what he envisions for Femi’s future. He believes the encounter was a preview of a much bigger showdown down the line.

“As I sat at ringside and watched Oba Femi and Cody Rhodes, all I could see was that match again for a title one day,” Henry said. “Not just for the sake of showing champion vs champion, but for all the marbles. Maybe you see Cody Rhodes vs Oba Femi for the WWE Title, that’s how impressive it was to see those two guys work. Looking forward to the future.”

Femi’s showing against Rhodes was a breakout moment for the NXT star. He controlled much of the offense, hitting powerful moves like an Irish Curse Backbreaker and a spinebuster that nearly put Rhodes away. Despite the chaotic ending involving McIntyre, Femi stood tall alongside Rhodes after the bell, even delivering a chokeslam to the Scottish Warrior to close the segment.
