Mark Henry is one of the most respected wrestlers in WWE. That respect comes from the wrestlers backstage and the millions of fans around the world because he has always carried himself with professionalism and class.
In the ring, he has been able to play whatever role was given to him. From his days as Mae Young’s Sexual Chocolate to being a monster heel in a feud against The Undertaker, Henry has done everything in WWE and the fans are appreciative of his stellar career. However, there is one career moment that sticks out more than most.
In 2013, after a long sabbatical, Henry returned to Monday Night Raw and gave an emotional speech and talked about retirement. John Cena looked on as Henry commanded the microphone during one of the best in-ring talking segments during the history of Raw. It turned out to be a ploy and Henry attacked Cena to set up a title match up on pay-per-view.
Fans still remember that moment fondly for many reasons. But one of the things that fans talk about is that cool looking salmon-colored jacket that he wore. He hasn’t worn it on TV since that day and fans have been wondering if he would wear it on Friday night during the WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony.
Last week, during the HBO screening for the Andre The Giant documentary in Los Angeles, Henry was asked about the jacket.
