Mark Henry on why Goldberg vs. The Undertaker doesn’t need a storyline
There has been only a week of build up for the upcoming match between the Undertaker and Goldberg at WWE Super ShowDown. Some fans expected more out of the storyline for the first-ever match between these two legendary stars.
WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry disagrees as he explained why he doesn’t think it needs a build up. Henry gave his take on SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio. This is where he talked about how this is simply a modern-day fantasy warfare.
WWE eliminated the reason for a build up once Taker demanded that Goldberg not bring his family man image but rather the undefeated version of himself from WCW.
“If we get that guy, you don’t need buildup, you don’t need a storyline, you just need to turn the music on and let these two monsters walk to the ring. It’ll be like Godzilla and Mothra.”
The WWE Super ShowDown pay-per-view event takes place on Friday, June 7th, 2019 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium. You can listen to the clip by clicking on the player below:
