Mark Henry Says Matt Riddle Should’ve Faced Goldberg at WrestleMania 36

WWE Hall of Famer and co-host of Busted Open Radio Mark Henry recently discussed the WrestleMania 36 Universal Championship situation. It was recently revealed that Roman Reigns has pulled out of the scheduled match against Goldberg. Reigns had reported left the Florida area due to concerns regarding COVID-19 and the coronavirus, as he is a leukemia sufferer.

“It’s easy to work with somebody that people want to see you work” Mark Henry began, talking about a potential Riddle vs Goldberg match. “They [the fans] want this. Man, I love things that go together. I like peanut butter. I like jelly, I like milk, and I like cereal. And I definitely like meat on my sandwiches so I mean you gotta be able to put things together that match, that go together. that everybody wants to see.”

Mark Henry elaborated further, discussing the real life issues between Riddle and Goldberg. ” Matt Riddle and Goldberg had an issue. Some of them based off respect [on Riddle’s side]. ‘You know, you overstepping your bounds, like you haven’t paid enough dues to be comfortable like that.'” Mark Henry was of course referring to the constant jabs from Riddle against Goldberg and WWE Champion Brock Lesnar. Riddle has consistently stated that he plans on ‘retiring’ Brock Lesnar. “And whatever the case may be, but I’m just saying. If you have an issue, and it’s gonna go to blows and it almost went to blows a couple of times. Yep. let em fight, put it together.”

It is currently being rumored that Braun Strowman is expected to face Goldberg next weekend. This has not yet been officially announced by WWE, however the match has reportedly been taped.
