Martha Hart, the wife of the late Owen Hart, did an interview with CBS sports to promote the Dark Side of the Ring episode on Owen’s death that is set air this Tuesday night on Vice.

In May 1999 at the WWE Over the Edge pay-per-view, Owen passed away due to a tragic accident. It happened when he was trying to make a superhero-like entrance from the ceiling of the arena while being lowered down. You can check out the trailer for the episode here.

In the interview, she talked about how WWE handled the situation. Martha went on the attack towards the company.

"When Owen died, they scooped him out like a piece of garbage and they paraded wrestlers out to wrestle in a ring that had Owen's blood, where the boards were broken from Owen's fall and where the guys could feel the dip in the ring from where he fell. Just that disrespect and lack of respect for a human life that had just been lost.

Martha noted that WWE not stopping the show was appalling. She called Vince McMahon a poor leader because he failed the talent that night as they were looking for leadership.

The topic of fans wanting Owen to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame was brought up. She recognized the talk of this happening but explained her stance against it.

“Their Hall of Fame? They don't even have a Hallway of Fame. It doesn't exist. There's nothing. It's a fake entity. There's nothing real or tangible. It's just an event they have to make money. They put it on TV and have a celebration, and it's just so ridiculous. I would never even entertain it. It's garbage."

Martha also talked about McMahon manipulating Owen's family, her relationship with the family, WWE’s lawsuit, and much more. You can read the entire interview here.
