Matt Cardona’s Advice To Released WWE Stars: “You Have 3 Options”

Matt Cardona, who successfully reinvented himself after his WWE release in 2020, shared some direct advice for recently departed WWE talent during an interview on “Insight With Chris Van Vliet.” The “Indie God” outlined what he sees as their three main options moving forward.

Cardona stated, “I’m paraphrasing it, but you have three options. You fade into obscurity, feel bad for yourself, have a pity party, and never be seen again, or be delusional with your prices and never get booked again.”

He then described the path many take, and the one he chose: “Or you can coast off your WWE name… Do a couple of indies here and there, some autograph signings, and you probably do that forever. Or the one I chose, work your a– off, reinvent yourself, have a lot of f—ing fun and make a lot of f—ing money.”

Cardona emphasized that his path, while rewarding, requires immense effort. “You have three options. The third one’s not easy, but it’s possible,” he concluded.
