Matt Hardy explains Jeff Hardy’s “erratic” behavior at his final WWE show, negative drug test results

Matt Hardy provided an update on his brother Jeff Hardy on the House Hardy Twitch account.

Matt said Jeff was stressed out about many different things when he was in WWE and that when Jeff jumped over the guardrail, he knew that he was done.

Matt said he doesn’t think Jeff was intentionally trying to get fired and his brother sometimes will do things like that because he’s an “emotionally supercharged” person. Matt said that sometimes his brother will do some weird things like that.

Matt said Jeff took his drug test and was released a few days later and the results showed that he passed. Matt said it was 10 to 14 days later that he had not yet gotten his drug test. He also said that there were certain things leaked out on the internet about WWE wanting Jeff to go to rehab and he wanted to make sure Jeff’s name was cleared and he wants people to know that Jeff has been doing well for “quite a while.”

Matt said 3 weeks later Jeff had still not gotten his drug test. Matt said Jeff got the runaround before he got his test. Matt confirmed that John Laurinaitis offered Jeff a spot in the WWE Hall Of Fame but all Jeff wanted was his drug test results so he could clear his name. Matt said that Jeff got his results just a couple of days ago and he “passed on all levels.”

Matt said he and Jeff have many things lined up and Jeff has been very relaxed and less stressed since leaving WWE and he feels rejuvenated and healthy and they are both excited for the future.

In regards to why the drug test results took so long to get back to Jeff, Matt says he doesn’t know why that happened. Reby Hardy said that seemed a little weird to her. Matt says if the drug test was positive, he feels that the results would have been made available much sooner. Matt says he feels like there was a little bit of “gun jumping” going on and WWE should have waited for the results to come back before making a decision. Reby said WWE made Jeff look bad and they never issued a public apology when they were proved wrong.

Matt said it looked like WWE tried to lure Jeff back when they realized his drug test was negative. Matt added that Jeff’s deal was coming up this year and he doesn’t think he was going to re-sign.

WrestlingNews.co was the first to report that people backstage who saw Jeff at his last WWE show did not think he was under the influence and the drug test results confirm what the source said.
