Following the tag team match at Saturday Night’s Main Event, a former WWE star has pitched a match against two of the participants. The show saw AJ Styles and Dragon Lee defeat NXT’s Je’Von Evans and TNA X Division Champion Leon Slater in a cross-promotional bout.
In a post shared on X, Matt Hardy expressed his desire for The Hardy Boyz to face the young high-flyers. “Also, before I forget, we still want The Hardy Boyz vs @LEONSLATER_ & @WWEJeVonEvans match to happen. Putting it out there. #SNME,” Hardy wrote.
Slater has history with the legendary tag team, having recently teamed with The Hardys and Cedric Alexander at a TNA taping. He also stood across the ring from them in August.
Slater and Evans have been teaming since September and recently faced each other for the X Division Championship at Bound for Glory, a match that ended in a no-contest.
