Although he hasn’t worked a match in several months, former WWE Raw Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy still has his sights set on making a return to in-ring competition under the WWE banner.
The older Hardy brother isn’t stopping his desire to continue his pro wrestling career and has made it known that nagging injuries won’t put an end on his career. Hardy recently talked about the reason behind him teasing his retirement on social media and if that’s something on the horizon for him at this stage of his career.
This where Hardy addressed this possibility during an interview with Riju Dasgupta of Sportskeeda. In fact, Hardy sees a reunion with his former tag team partner, Bray Wyatt, when he makes his return to in-ring action.
“No, it’s not. I took time off to heal some nagging injuries and I’ll be back sooner rather than later. So, I’ve been doing this twenty-six years. I was just a little beat up. I was given a little time off. From when I’ve been back, for over a year and half, I was full time. I did everything.”
Hardy continued by stating, “I think Bray needed a little time off. He’d had a car accident. So, I think it was just a little bit of time off for everyone. So, I think you’ll see an evolution of Bray Wyatt and an evolution of Matt Hardy.”
