Matt Riddle continues to book independent gigs now that he is no longer under contract with WWE. His departure happened due to the mass talent releases that hit the company hard across NXT and the main roster a few months ago.
Riddle’s journey
Prior to his release, WWE had paired Riddle with Drew McIntyre as a tag team on Raw. As previously reported, Riddle’s people are in talks with several companies, but he can’t sign with anyone until his non-compete ends in December. In the meantime, he’s starting to line up other bookings.
Riddle’s first post-WWE match has already been announced as he will be competing against RVD (Rob Van Dam) at Big Time Wrestling The Reunion 3 event on Saturday, March 9, 2024, in Chillicothe, Ohio. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
The booking
It was recently announced by MCW Pro Wrestling that Riddle is slated to appear at their Winter Blast event on February 3, 2024, where he will be meeting fans and seemingly signing autographs. It’s unclear whether he will be wrestling or getting physical at the show.
