As expected, Matt Riddle has signed a contract extension with WWE.
Riddle’s contract was slated to expire next August. Dave Meltzer first reported that Riddle was negotiating a new contract that would keep him under contract for several years.
At the time, it was “said he’s pretty much agreed to terms for a three-year deal at $400,000 per year guaranteed plus $50,000 for every show in Saudi Arabia.”
Fightful Select reported today that Riddle was made an initial offer and didn’t seem too interested in renewing. WWE then offered new terms, which Riddle liked, and WWE was expecting him to sign it by the end of this year.
That happened last week. He signed his original contract with WWE in 2018 where he had a run in NXT. He’s currently in a tag team with Jeff Hardy.
