Matt Riddle: I Think The Chances Of Me Returning To WWE Are Extremely High

Matt Riddle is optimistic about his chances of returning to WWE.

Riddle got himself in hot water outside the ring for various reasons. This includes his rehab stints for substance abuse issues, causing him to fail WWE’s wellness policy, his issues with an adult film star who alleged he cheated on her to do drugs, and more.

Since departing from WWE last year, Riddle has stayed busy working for various promotions, including MLW, NJPW, and independent promotions. However, he thinks there’s a good chance of a return to WWE.

While speaking to Steven Muelhausen of SI Takedown, Riddle discussed a potential return to WWE.

“The chances of me going back, I think they’re extremely high,” Riddle said. “If CM Punk, who filed a lawsuit against WWE, and then raked them through the mud for a decade, then goes to the competition, I’ll tell you this, if he can do that, everything can be forgiven. I know I wasn’t the easiest to work with at times. I think the door is always open.”

Riddle added that he thinks he could be back as long as he continues to work hard, but if they never talk with him again, he will be fine with that. Riddle will face Tom Lawlor this weekend in a no-holds-barred Vale Tudo Match at MLW Fightland.
