Matt Riddle On Past Issue With Roman Reigns: Me And Roman Are Good

Matt Riddle has addressed the past drama with Roman Reigns after former WWE personality Matt Camp recently talked about it on his YouTube channel.

In the summer of 2021, Riddle discussed in an interview about Reigns taking credit for the success of that year’s SummerSlam. Riddle stated that Reigns doesn’t move the needle, that Reigns is in a top spot due to his relationship with The Rock, and that he could beat up Reigns in a real fight. This was after Reigns stated that CM Punk wasn’t as over as The Rock or John Cena for the company when he was on top.

Riddle has been critical of Brock Lesnar and Goldberg in the past. While appearing on The Bubba Army, Riddle said he got a text from Reigns, who called him unprofessional. This led to Riddle writing an apology to Reigns, asking for it to be rewritten by Randy Orton. Riddle claimed Reigns called him a “b*tch” the next time they bumped into each other while performing at a house show.

While speaking to the New York Post. Riddle discussed where he stands with Reigns.

Riddle said, “This isn’t a flex, this is the truth. If I didn’t think I could, I wouldn’t say it. You don’t hear me saying I can beat up Bobby Lashley, you know, maybe on a good day. Or a Brock Lesnar, maybe on a good day. I think when he saw how professional I am in the ring and I also explained why things were said and I wasn’t just trying to call you out. I know my place in WWE but when someone tells me to cut a promo on you, I’m gonna cut a promo on you. I think he understood that. Still wasn’t happy about it, but understood. Me and Roman, we’re good.”

Riddle will wrestle at MLW Summer of the Beasts on Thursday.
