Matt Riddle recently noticed that WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg blocked him on Twitter. Thus, the WWE NXT star took to his official Instagram account to comment on it.
This comes just a few days away from Goldberg’s return to in-ring action when he takes on The Undertaker in a singles math at Friday’s WWE Super ShowDown pay-per-view event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Riddle wrote the following: “I can’t wait to watch your match this Friday so I can see how good you are at wrestling.”
Obviously, Goldberg has not publicly commented on if there is any heat between them but there could be a reason that the legendary pro wrestler doesn’t like Riddle. It dates back to 2017 when Riddle gave an interview with Sporting News where Riddle was critical of Goldberg. At the time of the interview, Riddle criticized Goldberg for having matches that only lasted for a few minutes.
In his eyes, he thought that Goldberg did not have the skills to take it any further or his matches would be bad. Other critical takes included the way that WCW pushed him, beating Hulk Hogan in minutes, and implementing MMA techniques into his matches.
“His work in the ring – people always go it’s Goldberg, he can have a one minute match or whatever. Yeah, it’s one minute because he can’t work more than one minute. If he works more than one minute, it could Botchamania, you know? Even with one minute, it’s Botchamania almost.”
