Corey Graves is apparently not a fan of Mauro Ranallo’s work at NXT TakeOver: WarGames.
Without mentioning Ranallo by name, he sent out this tweet: “Just for the record guys, I know you wouldn’t know it, but there’s actually a WWE Hall of Famer AND a former Ring of Honor Champion on commentary. I’d imagine they have a lot to offer.”
Graves followed up with this tweet when a fan made reference to Ranallo’s rap references on the show.
Frank Shamrock, who is Ranallo’s best friend and agent, took issue with Graves going public with his criticism of Ranallo. He tweeted, “Social media has made too many of you comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the mouth for it.”
While many have been supportive of Ranallo’s work, Graves’ tweet caused a large number of fans on social media to attack Ranallo on Twitter. Ranallo, who has been very public about his mental health issues, has deleted his Twitter account.
Hopefully, all is well with Mauro and I hope he realizes that the twitter trolls are the vocal minority and should be ignored.
