Mauro Ranallo talks how excited he is in NXT, McGregor vs Mayweather

Mauro Ranallo is back in WWE and we couldn’t be happier for him. This move to NXT certainly has a huge silver lining to it as well seeing that he doesn’t have to make all of the SmackDown Live tapings so he’s not on the road as often. But he will still be on the road plenty due to his work in Bellator and Showtime Boxing.

WWE also looks really good having one of the guys calling the Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather fight on their payroll. Mauro recently spoke to WWE.com and gave an exclusive interview where he talked about how excited he was to be a part of NXT. Mauro Ranallo is set to call matches for the superstars of tomorrow and he’s kicking off his new multi-year contract in a big way.

There are plenty of amazing stories being told on NXT including Bobby Roode, Roderick Strong, SANitY, Aleister Black and the rest of the outstanding roster. We very well might get to hear Ranallo eventually call Asuka’s first loss. Just the thought of having him in NXT is incredible.

Mauro said it’s great to be back under the WWE umbrella and he is excited to see this next generation of Superstars. Mauro said the response he’s received from fans has been humbling and all the love has been amazing.

When he was asked about his upcoming McGregor vs Mayweather fight he alluded to the fact it feels like he made a deal with the devil because life couldn’t be any better for him right now. Mauro said he didn’t get his WrestleMania moment this year, but calling the McGregor vs Mayweather fight might make up for it. Being back in WWE was just the icing on the cake for Mauro and he couldn’t be happier. We’re super excited to hear him call NXT too.
