Mauro Ranallo will not be commentating at NXT Takeover: Chicago II
NXT Takeover: Chicago II will likely follow the pattern of awesome Takeover specials. Every show has been great and the commentary usually enhances the action we see on TV. Unfortunately, one of the best play-by-play announcers in the business will not be there this Saturday night.
Mauro Ranallo announced on Twitter that a scheduling conflict will prevent him from being in Chicago on Saturday night. He will be calling the action for Showtime Boxing as Errol Spence will defend his IBF welterweight title against Carlos Ocampo.
Meanwhile, Vic Joseph will join Nigel McGuinness and Percy Watson on commentary for Takeover. Joseph has been doing a great job on the weekly 205 Live TV show and he will have a chance to shine on a bigger stage this Saturday night.
I’m blessed to have more than one job. Unfortunately, dates may conflict. Off to Dallas for a @ShowtimeBoxing tripleheader . That means I won’t be in Chicago for #NXTTakeOver You’ll be in good hands with @VicJosephWWE @McGuinnessNigel & @WWEPercyWatson ??
