Maven: MJF Would ‘Be One Of The Best Heels Ever’ In WWE

Former WWE star Maven weighed in on the “tribalism” between fans of different wrestling promotions, stating that he understands it but thinks fans are hurting their own experience. Speaking on TMZ Inside The Ring, Maven compared the current fan climate to politics.

“Get it, totally get tribal. I understand. I mean it. You know, wrestling often reflects society, and look at the world we live in now – we’ve never lived in a more polarizing political climate. Well, wrestling is kind of the same way for those fans that only watch one brand, you’re missing out.”

His Favorite Wrestler: MJF

Maven then revealed that his favorite active wrestler today is in AEW, and he made a major prediction about his future. “Yeah, I know my favorite wrestler today is MJF. I think he’s just a genius. I think what he’s doing is legendary. I think if he ever gets a chance to go to the WWE, he’ll be one of the best heels ever. I’m sure he has [thought about it]. Well, he’s loyal. I know he’s loyal to Tony, but if you’re only watching WWE, you’re missing out.”

He added that the same is true for fans who only watch AEW. “And if you’re only watching AEW or TNA, you’re missing out on some superstars in the WWE that the bronze of the world or you’re just missing out on just good entertainment, just good guys.”

MJF is currently off AEW television, having last been seen losing a tables and thumbtacks match to Mark Briscoe at All Out. He is reportedly finishing up filming his role in the movie Violent Night 2. For more on that, click here.
