Mick Foley: Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks was one of the top cell matches that I have ever seen

WWE Hall Famer/RAW General Manager Mick Foley recently spoke with SI.com to promote Sunday’s WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view event at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada.

“We question how Smackdown can be the ‘Land of Opportunity’ when they’re the ones giving an opportunity to their commissioner,” said Foley. Foley added that Shane McMahon adding himself into the 5-on-5 Traditional Tag Team Match between Team RAW and Team SmackDown Live seems like politics and he thinks that the fans have had enough politics for a while. Foley said that he and Stephanie McMahon believes RAW has the better roster and they will show it when Sami Zayn challenges The Miz for the WWE Intercontinental Title. Foley added that it would mean a lot to the RAW roster if the RAW talents shine at Survivor Series. “I’m not taking anything away from AJ Styles, who has had a career year, or Dean Ambrose, who was a great champion for them, but I think we have the better team,” Foley said. Foley expects that Team RAW vs. Team SmackDown Live will be a great match and hopefully have a good night for Team RAW.

Foley thinks that Daniel Bryan is doing a fine job as SmackDown Live GM but he thinks that Bryan is picking Superstars that he likes. “I’m proud of the fact that most of the people on my team don’t like me,” Foley said.

When asked about the Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks match at the Hell in a Cell PPV, Foley thinks that the finish of the match looked vicious as Banks bounced off a table that was set up in the corner. This led to Flair hitting the Natural Selection for the win. Foley thought it looked devastating. “Some people would say it didn’t go right, but I say it was even more effective,” Foley said. Foley added that he thought that was one of the top cell matches he has ever seen.
