Mick Foley no longer employed by WWE, update on his hip surgery

For those of you that have asked, Mick Foley is no longer employed by WWE. During the Jim Ross’ RINGSIDE one-man show in Orlando, Foley said that he was not originally planning on making the trip to Orlando for WrestleMania weekend but Stephanie McMahon convinced him to go. Foley was not under contract during the recent run as GM so he was essentially under a handshake agreement. That is why he was able to do non-WWE appearances.

He said that he is no longer being paid by the company and jokingly said that the “firing” on TV felt real. He will be undergoing hip surgery on 4/19 and then will do an appearance in Queens on 5/13. He is also booked for an appearance in Wichita Falls, TX on 5/20 and then he will take a break until July. If you are interested in attending these events, click here for ticket information. He is currently at Wales Comic Con in the UK.

Foley has indicated that he will not speak out as much about the WWE product.
