– WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley gave high praise to Intercontinental Champion The Miz for his promo on Tuesday’s edition of Talking Smack on the WWE Network during a segment with Daniel Bryan. He posted this on his official Facebook page:

To me, it was so powerful that halfway through, I realized I could never make the Miz the butt of a joke again. Not only would it not be funny, but I would lose credibility by trying to mine the wrong source for laughs. The Miz has slowly, but steadily become one of the best IC champions the #WWE has seen in a long time. Last night, he stated his case in a more abrupt way; eloquent, angry and completely believable.”

The WWE Backlash pay-per-view event will take place on September 11, 2016, at the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia. This will be a SmackDown brand exclusive show. The event will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets. Dean Ambrose vs. AJ Styles for the WWE Title will headline the event.
