WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley was a big fan of Becky Lynch before she became the big popular star that she has transformed into over the last few months. In fact, Foley has been a big supporter of women’s wrestling for years.
Foley recently did an interview with Sky Sports where he talked about a wide range of topics including Lynch and women’s wrestling. According to the pro wrestling legend, he thinks Lynch is the biggest star that WWE has under contract right now.
“I believe their time has come. Becky Lynch has succeeded in becoming the biggest name in our business and I think that’s great,” Foley said. “She’s a good friend, she’s a wonderful person and it couldn’t happen to a nicer lass.”
WWE Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Lynch in a Triple Threat Match will headline WrestleMania 35 on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium.
This makes history as women have never been placed in the main event of a WrestleMania, which is widely considered the biggest event of the year for the company.
