Mick Foley: WWE Is In Its Own League, But I’m Really Grateful For AEW

Although there is a lot of tribalism among wrestling fans these days, as some people think you can only be a fan of AEW or WWE, Mick Foley is grateful for AEW’s existence.

Tony Khan launched the promotion in 2019 and quickly built into being the second biggest promotion in the world. While doing an interview with Monopoly Events, Mick Foley commented on AEW’s importance to the wrestling industry.

“I think they’ve [AEW] been really important in raising the remuneration that wrestlers receive. I’m not saying this out of any disrespect, but WWE is to me in its own league, but I’m really grateful for AEW. They have great matches on a regular basis, and without them, the WWE superstars would not be making that they deserve. So thank you, Tony Khan.”
