Mickie James comments on how WWE return has been going so far and her legacy in pro wrestling

Mickie James recently took part in a short interview with ESPN about returning to WWE. She stated that it’s incredible to be back and it’s not what she expected at all. She noted that she had pretty much accepted the fact she was going to be a stay at home mom and do other things in life. She thought that coming back to WWE was out of the cards for her but noted that it’s weird how things work out. She stated that it’s been amazing and that the fans have been great to her. She said that it’s very humbling when you leave WWE and wrestle on the indy scenes. “It’s very humbling when you have to go backwards, and after doing it for a bit, I was sitting there and debating with myself about what I should do. I don’t want to retire on the independent scene. I don’t want my legacy to be remembered as that. I wasn’t sure whether it was time to walk away, but I didn’t want to be remembered in that way.”

When asked about possibly being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, she noted that she has been doing this for 19 years and always dreamed of being in WWE. She noted that she wants her legacy to be something positive and helped change the business in a good way. “I’m very happy to see people I know and have worked with and admire get into the Hall of Fame, and that’s obviously one of those things we all secretly hope for. That would be pretty awesome.” She added that it would be an acknowledgment of everything that she has done and gave to the company to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
